Controller (Finance & Accounting) - Synthon
Be the Driving Force Behind Smart Finance
Synthon is heading into a next growth chapter, supported by a strong shareholder. This is your opportunity to play a valuable role in that journey.
Your new challenge
As the key financial point of contact for multiple departments in the Netherlands, you act as a true business partner. You challenge stakeholders, provide both solicited and unsolicited advice, and translate financial data into clear, actionable insights.
While reporting excellence is a given, your impact goes well beyond reporting. You will influence decision-making, drive digitalization, and play a key role in shaping the future of finance within Synthon.
We are, for Synthon, specifically looking for someone with a strong affinity for automation, AI, data analytics, digital finance transformation, or robotics. You are curious, eager to explore these areas, and motivated to take ownership. As they are still in the early stages, you will have the opportunity to truly build and drive initiatives - without needing to be an expert from day one.
Your Role
-
You are responsible for delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis, ensuring control and transparency across your assigned departments.
-
You take ownership of the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting cycle, and play a key role in period closings, explaining balance sheet and P&L developments to corporate controllers.
-
Beyond reporting, you actively identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency. You lead initiatives focused on automation, optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
-
As a Controller, you are part of the Finance & Accounting team in Nijmegen and report directly to the Director Finance & Accounting.
This is a hands-on role close to the business, not a purely strategic or corporate position.
You combine core finance responsibilities such as monthly closing and budgeting with driving automation and process improvements.
