Finance Director / Head of Finance - PVO International

We are looking for a Finance Director who will join PVO in driving growth and professionalizing the company. This role ensures that the financial strategy is effectively rolled out and acts as a sparring partner for the management team. As part of the Management Team, and with the potential to join the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in shaping PVO’s  future.

Your new challenge

Leadership & strategy:

  • Build and manage a strong Finance team (Financial Controller, Business Controller, Team Lead Administration and two Admin. Support Specialists);
  • Participate actively to the strategy roadmap, translate business strategy into concrete financial objectives;
  • Proactively inform and advise the Management Team and Board of Directors;
  • Ensure efficient financial processes and continuous improvement (process optimization).

Financial control & processes:

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans;
  • Liaise with DCC for all reporting matters such as presentations of budgets, 5 years plan or Weekly forecast analysis;
  • Ensure compliance with audits (external and Group internal audits) and corporate governance;
  • Manage and control costs, banking, and foreign exchange risks;
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks;
  • Establish and maintain approval processes and investment management;
  • Ensure correct application of accounting principles and fiscal guidelines, including expansion into new markets.

Operational & process digital optimization:

  • Develop and implement efficient and automated processes;
  • Manage credit insurance and optimize cash flow;
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial efficiency and customer satisfaction;
  • Improve the Cash Conversion Cycle and manage debtor risks.

Commercial performance & project management:

  • Support decision-making with financial analyses and reports;
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks;
  • Proactively manage claims and financial issues;
  • Advise on optimal inventory management strategies;
  • Lead projects focused on process optimization and financial efficiency.

Your profile

  • Strong expertise in financial management, digital process optimization, and project management (PMO);
  • Experience in margin management, working capital management, and return on capital employed (ROCE);
  • You are able to connect, inspire, motivate and drive professional development;
  • You have a helicopter view, do not shy away for impopular decisions if needed and is strong in advising the Management Team and/or Board of Directors;
  • You are capable of tackling (long-term) problems in a timely manner;
  • You are highly skilled in maintaining internal and external contacts at various levels, but refrain from engaging in politics;
  • You have a Master's degree preferably complemented with an RA and/or RC/EMFC certification;
  • You have excellent language skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.
